Hidden Defects Insurance at Malaz Insurance

We help organisations to apply for hidden defects insurance at Malaz Insurance Company. Hidden defects insurance covers any defect in the construction works or its protective elements that impair the strength, stability or stability of the building, which may be due to errors, faults or deficiencies in design, materials, soil testing or construction, which may be due to errors, faults or deficiencies in the design, materials, soil testing or construction.

 In accordance with Saudi Council of Ministers Decision No. 509 dated 21/09/1439 AH requiring contractors in all non-governmental sector projects to insure for hidden defects and SAMA Governor's Decision No. 441/187 dated 05/08/1441 AH approving the model version of the compulsory insurance policy for hidden defects in all buildings and constructions, including telecommunication towers.
Hidden Defects Insurance covers any defect in the construction works or its protective elements that impair the strength, stability or stability of the building, which may be due to errors, faults or deficiencies in design, materials, soil investigation or construction, provided that such defect was not discovered on the date of issuance of the certificate of occupancy. The insured shall be compensated for the costs of repair, replacement and reinforcement of buildings resulting from hidden defects that are discovered and reported to the company - during the ten-year insurance coverage period for the following:

A. Physical damage to buildings.

B. The threat of imminent building collapse requiring immediate remedial measures to prevent actual collapse during the period of insurance coverage.
